Huawei is testing the smartphone app |
Huawei is testing the Huawei Search app because the custom search application is one of the most important applications missing on its devices that Google services are not currently available for.
The Chinese company has asked UAE users to test the new Huawei search app as an APK in exchange for the jackpot.
Unlike Google, which provides access to Google Search Engine, Google Assistant, and Google Lenses, Huawei Search is a basic search application that allows users to search the web for videos, news articles, or images. ,
An abbreviation of weather forecast, which provides a mini-tool that displays current 24-hour weather forecast and is supported by a joint project between Huafeng and Weather to provide the expected data sources from:
The app also includes motion links, currency converters and calculators that allow users to view their search logs, take notes, change the search area and language, switch to a secure search and change the search area that controls the Huawei search app in you can search.
The app supports the dark mode in the EMUI 10 user interface, and the service is managed by Aspiegel Limited, an Ireland-based Huawei company, according to the Search App Use Agreement.
The Chinese giant will move most of its software services to Aspiegel Limited in 2019 to address concerns about user data management.
The user agreement states that users must have a Huawei account in order to use the service and that the service can only be used on Huawei devices as an integrated search app or as a service provided in Huawei services.
Access is via the address of any web browser (Huawei Search). Huawei has stated in the Privacy Policy that users have the right to delete search results according to the requirements of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Huawei's ability to delete search results indicates that the app (Huawei Search) cannot use a third-party engine. At the moment, the app seems to have very limited functionality. The service is currently only available for Huawei smartphones.
It should be noted that the Chinese company has been on the list of US Department of Commerce companies since mid-2019, which prevented them from obtaining a license for Google Mobile Services.
This prompted it to develop AppGallery, which could replace Google Play, Huawei Mobile (HMS) and Google Mobile Services (GMS) services.
With the Honor View 30 Pro and the next Huawei P40 series, the Chinese giant has to persuade potential customers that they can survive without Google apps.
