How to export WhatsApp chat from iPhone
- Open the app on your iPhone.
- Turn your finger over the cat you want to export.
- Click the More button.
- Select to export the cat.
- Select mail from the sharing options.
- Enter your email address to access it from an Android phone.
- Click the send icon.
- Repeat these steps for each conversation.
After clicking "Submit", the chat history will be sent to your email address, which can be retrieved from Android device. The problem, however, is that you have to repeat the above steps for any chat conversation you want to export.
If you have conversations it will take some time, and each conversation will eventually receive multiple emails, but it can still be done.
How to import WhatsApp chat on Android phones
- Open the Gmail app on an Android phone.
- Check emails with exported chat logs.
- Download it directly to your phone.
- Remove WhatsApp from Android phone.
- Reinstall WhatsApp from the Google Play Store.
- Open the app on your Android phone.
- Continue the installation process.
- When prompted in the settings menu, click Restore.
- When the recovery process is complete, click on the "Next" button below.
After restoring WhatsApp to the downloaded backup, all chats will appear on Android device. This whole process can be time consuming and frustrating, but it's the best process available so far, but some third-party L apps pretend to make chatting easier.
How to backup Google Drive on Android
- Open WhatsApp on your Android device.
- Click the "More Options" button in the upper right.
- Choose your settings.
- Click here to chat.
- Choose a chat backup.
- Click Save to Google Drive.
- Choose a backup time.
- Select the Google account you want to sync your backups to.
- Click "Save after connecting" to save data over a WLAN or to sync at the same time.
- If you want to include videos in backup, select the "Embed video" button.
When finished, WhatsApp chats will automatically reset to Google Drive. This not only simplifies the process of restoring the upgrade or phone key, but also allows you to access it on other platforms when needed.
How to back up manually
- Open the app on your Android device.
- Click the "More Options" button in the upper right.
- Choose your settings.
- Click here to chat.
- Choose a chat backup.
- In the green box, click the "Save" option.
If you don't link a Google Drive account to your WhatsApp account, local backups are created because these copies are saved directly on the device and can be accessed via a file manager like Google Docs, i.e. the backup file itself. sdcard / WhatsApp and can be copied or moved to another location.
