HDD may outperform SSD with 80 terabytes

The company has developed millions of hard drives worldwide and confirmed that it has completed work on a new generation of heat-backed magnetic recording media (HAMR) for hard drives.

The SDK claims that new disks have more storage space in the same space (5 to 6 terabytes per square inch) which is four to five times the capacity of existing disks.

The new disk uses an entirely new magnetic layer of small pearls to increase storage space. The goal is to have the latest 3.5-inch hard drive to store 70 TB to 80 TB.

The SDK uses a new magnetic layer structure and a new way to control the middle temperature in the production process. The company states that the new HAMR tablets have the highest levels of reading, writing and flexibility in the industry.

The largest hard drive on the market offers up to 9 floors, and if the SDK number is correct, 80 TB hard drives may become a reality of this decade.

After a series of acquisitions, there are now only three major hard disk drive manufacturers.

Millions of hard drives are manufactured by Western Digital, Seagate, and Toshiba as more and more customers visit premium service providers like Google, Microsoft and Amazon.

The largest hard drive currently available is the Westernstar Ultrastar HC650 20 TB, which uses a technology called SMR.

In terms of price, the less expensive 1 TB hard drive costs around $ 15, or about $ 1,200 for the 80 TB hard disk.

This price may seem high, but the potential availability in terms of storage capacity, energy consumption, and general maintenance can exceed the money consumers spend.
