Galaxy S20 series gets USB certification for fast charging technology |
The Korean giant got a certificate of appreciation for the fast charging technology of the Galaxy S20 series phones via USB. This is the first officially released version of Power Delivery 3.0 programming and performance support.
Galaxy S20 series is the first release to officially use programmable PPS power supply and USB PD USB 3.0. According to the certificate, Samsung phones support third-party fast charging technology.
According to Samsung's certification for the Galaxy S20, the new version is also expected to have no issues downloading accessories with third-party fast charging technology, provided that these accessories are certified to be compatible with the Samsung version.
Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20 Plus also support 25W fast charging technology, while Galaxy S20 Ultra supports fast charging technology up to 45 watts.
USB PD 3.0 and PPS standards support charging smartphones with faster performance. However, the approved charging technology must meet the charging capacity and voltage specifications of the charging technology in order for the smartphone to be effectively supported in fast charging technology.
