Facebook plans to give users money for their audio recordings |
On Thursday, Facebook announced that it would pay specific users for its records, which will be used to improve speech recognition technology.
Previously, Facebook, Amazon, Apple, Microsoft and Google had been listened to and listened to user tapes to improve their speech recognition system without prompting customers.
Facebook says it will allow users to register with a new program called "Voices in Viewpoints Market Research". If users are authorized to participate in the program, they can register on Hey Portal, followed by the names of friends in the Friends list. Users can do this with up to 10 friend names, and each phrase must be saved twice.
However, Facebook does not pay much for registration. When the subscriber completes a series of registrations, he gets 200 points in the Viewpoints app and can only be awarded in the application when the total number of points reaches at least 1000 points. This is equivalent to $ 5 in the app that was sent via PayPal. Facebook says: It gives users the ability to create up to five records and earn 1000 points with them.
According to Facebook, the audio recordings provided by users are not linked to their social media profiles, and the company will not share Viewpoints app activities on the network or in other Facebook owned services without permission.
Word Pronunciation program is targeted at American users over 18 years old and over 75 Facebook friends. The company said that the program will start slowly and therefore will not be immediately available to all users.
