Amazon continues to dominate the smart amplifier market |
A report by market research firm eMarketer showed that Amazon will maintain its leading position in the American market for smart amplifiers this year and next. The market growth of competitors like Google and Apple is weak and only represents 1% of the market share of Amazon Echo devices. A small portion.
Market research companies estimate that Amazon will easily maintain its leadership in 2021, as around 70% of smart amplifier owners in the U.S. will continue to use Amazon Echo devices.
By 2020, 69.7% of smart speaker users in the U.S. can use Amazon Echo devices, just under 72.9% last year, and that number will drop slightly to 206.2%. In the year 2021.
In 2020, 31.7% of smart speaker owners will use Google commercial devices, while only 18.4% of users will use other brands like Apple HomePod, Sonos One or Harmon Kardon Invoke.
According to the report, the overall percentage exceeds 100% because some smart speaker owners own multiple devices of the same brand.
These numbers make it clear that Google and Apple are facing the challenge of gaining a greater market share in the U.S. smart amplifier market, as consumers are unlikely to change the brand of their next device once the first device is purchased.
If a customer wants to equip a bedroom or kitchen with new appliances, he often buys the same brand again, because these appliances are designed to work together at home.
The report shows that Amazon devices outside the U.S. do not offer the same benefits and are less competitive in some markets because they support fewer non-English languages than major competitors like Google Home.
Victoria Petrock, a leading e-marketing analyst, said: Since the launch of Amazon Echo, Amazon has outperformed its competitors in the U.S. and continues to face the challenges its main competitors face.
The analyst added: “We expected Google and Apple to continue making progress in the US market, but Amazon remained strong. The company provided devices at low prices and increased its expertise. Alexa Digital Assistant. Hold the Amazon Echo appealing.”
