Google Maps is one of the most popular services from Google. In addition to the features and the high level of accuracy it provides, we find that its use can go beyond assistance in providing navigation maps only because it hides many powerful features and tools and can discover and enjoy all kinds of feature data.
Here are 5 Google Maps features you might not know:
1- Review the restaurant menu and customer reviews:
In addition to the navigation tools, Google Maps is also used to display customer reviews of a site and to determine its quality. This will give you a good idea of the options available for your goal.
This functionality is especially useful if your destination is a restaurant or hotel. It provides menu options and overview prices as well as individual labels to determine if you want to go there.
2- Reservation and request:
After taking a quick look at all the options in the restaurant you want to go to, you can book a table directly via the app (Google Maps) and Google Maps without leaving it. If you want to eat at home, this is also available in the order application.
3- Use the Google Assistant on iPhone:
IOS comes with Siri voice assistant. In Google Maps settings, you can activate Google Assistant to use it anytime, anywhere. To activate it, you can do the following:
- Open the Google Maps app.
- Click the menu icon (the three horizontal lines to the left of the search bar).
- Click on "Settings".
- Click the (Navigation) option at the top of the page.
- Scroll down, select (Use "OK Google", Use the Access Access Assistant) and move the switch.
4- Knowing the arrival and waiting time:
With Google Maps, you can limit the waiting time at a doctor’s office, grocery store, or to complete some government transactions.
- In the app (Google Maps), tap the website you want to visit.
- Scroll down until you see a drawing called "Popular Watch".
- Choose the day you want to go.
- Click on the red bar to view current traffic data.
- Plan your visit under the title and you will find general information such as: the maximum waiting time and the average visit time.
5- Find the schedules and phone numbers:
If you want to know when a store or office is open or closed, or if you need to contact the site without a phone number, or if you need a company zip code, go directly to (Google Maps) for these answers can be found here. Method:
- Opening times: The company's opening times are displayed directly under the title. Click the down arrow next to the day’s closing time to see business hours on other days of the week.
- Phone number: After business hours, you will find the phone number in most listings. To call without leaving the Maps app, tap the number, then tap the pop-up window that displays a notification and contact number.
- Website: If the company has a website, you can find it on the phone number. Click on the link to open the site in the browser tab.
