YouTube hopes this new feature will help users "read comments, communicate with others, and make YouTube better known." If the user subscribes to the comment channel, this information is displayed on the profile card. Otherwise, the user can subscribe to the channel by clicking on the red Subscribe button.
While YouTube is promoting this new feature to connect with community members and identify the most fans in the channel, it may be helpful to identify annoying commenters, as viewing a comment history can help creators decide whether to hide future user ratings for this user or whether the user is Trustworthy enough to give it a place in the list of approved users.
According to YouTube, this new functionality is now available for Android and will also be used for other devices in the future.
