Seagate launches FireCuda Gaming and BarraCuda Fast |
Seagate launched two high-performance external SSDs for players, namely FireCude Gaming SSD and BarraCude Fast SSD. Both come with the latest USB-C interface, but with outstanding performance.
FireCude Gaming SSD is the fastest, and the company says it's compatible with the recently launched FireCude Gaming Dock.
FireCude 510 is a high-performance NVMe SSD, it comes with a 20Gbps superfast USB interface (USB 3.2 Gen2x2), and a maximum speed of 2Gbps can be reached. However, the disk contains SLC write memory, which can slow down the speed of the disk if the data is full.
FireCude 510 has a metal structure and RGB lighting that can be managed through the company's Toolkit operating system, and can be synced to the FireCude gaming platform. The disk will be available with a capacity of 500 GB, 1 TB and 2 TB in March at $ 189, $ 259.99 and $ 499.99, respectively. There is a five-year limited warranty.

The disc comes with the same capacities offered in the FireCude Gaming SSD, but it offers lower performance and price. The disk is supported by SATA SSD and the second generation of USB-C 3.1 interface, and the performance speed reaches 540 Mbps. The disk will be available in February at a price of $ 94.99 for a capacity of 500 GB, $ 169.99 for a capacity of 1 TB and $ 299.99 for a capacity of 2 TB, and is sold with a 3-year warranty.
In addition, the new SSDs are pre-formatted with exFAT, and are compatible with both macOS and Windows. You can also get a free subscription to the Adobe Creative Cloud Photography Plan for two months.
