Samsung is working on a new job to share files similar to Apple AirDrop |
Samsung plans to launch a new feature called (Quick Share) to replace Apple's AirDrop feature.
XDA-Developer says: This functionality can be used to recover APK files. This is a simple tool to speed up file sharing with Samsung Galaxy phones. However, no files can be released, because the files in this functionality are used only for testing purposes.
The website states that the feature can share file services with nearby devices so that photos, videos and other files can be shared between Galaxy phones. There are also two sharing options, one for names only and one for everyone. The (Contacts only) option allows you to share files with other Samsung Social Service users in the contacts, while (Everyone) sends and receives files to anyone who uses the phone to download the feature.
Unlike the Apple Air Air feature, the Samsung Cloud Computing Quick Share feature supports because users can upload files to Samsung Cloud Service as they can be streamed on supported Samsung IoT platform Samsung Smart Things. Files can reach 1 GB and support sharing 2 GB per day.
The Quick Share feature is expected to be available on February 11 with the Galaxy S20. Note that Samsung is not the only company that provides file sharing because Google is developing a feature called "Nearby Sharing" which is part of Google Play services.
