Panasonic announced at CES 2020 in Las Vegas (USA) that it is a prototype of a new type of virtual reality glasses that differs from the current virtual reality glasses.
Panasonic glasses are similar to those used by swimmers and divers, but they provide different specifications than the glasses available on the market because they are equipped with mini OLED screens developed by Panasonic and Kopin.

Panasonic's new glasses differ from other glasses with two monitors instead of one. It is the first virtual reality glasses to support HDR (High Dynamic Range). The glasses also support Panasonic's sound technology, which can provide rich and dynamic sound.
Verge website indicates that prototype has certain limitations since the OLED mini screen is very small and reduces viewing angle compared to other virtual reality glasses. The glasses are very heavy.
Panasonic is not likely to sell these glasses as consumer goods, but it can be made available for commercial applications that use 5G networks for virtual travel and virtual sports.
