Moen introduces the Smart U Faucet

Moen is one of the largest taps production company in the United States. This year, the company announced the U Faucet of the Meon Smart Taps Group, a voice-activated faucet to help you carry out daily kitchen tasks without using your hands. Since you can fill a bottle or bowl of pasta without using your hands, just tell the tap how much water you need and a temperature for the tap to work. You can set presets for specific tasks in the kitchen and operate the water with voice control, motion sensor or via a conventional button. Moen didn't announce the price, but it's likely to come at a higher price than the old mechanical faucets.

The company also announced an update to the Flo system that monitors water consumption, as sensors that detect leaks have been integrated. Simply place the sensor in a vulnerable area, such as a basement or laundry room, and if the device senses water, freezing temperatures or high humidity it will send a notification to Flo and Moen phone apps. And if you have smart water shutdown feature, you can turn on the automatic shutdown command when the sensors detect leaks.

The company said it is working to integrate the Moen shower app with a U faucet in the Moen app to create the Moen network. This will allow you to control all of your Moen Smart products in one place. It is a good addition because the introduction of a smart tap indicates that the company is working on more consumer products. The smart tap is slated to launch later this year.
