| Lexilight lamp is designed for people with dyslexia |
Research has appeared two years ago that suggests that the problem of dyslexia may occur when both eyes of the patient are dominant, rather than the dominance of one eye - which is normal. This means that letters appear confused or mirrored, which makes reading difficult. Lexilight lamp attempts to tackle this issue with LED lighting pulsating at a customizable rate, allowing the brain to process information with one dominant eye and clear blurring characters immediately.
The Lexilight lamp is fully adjustable, as the buttons on the back of the lamp change the pulse rate, letting users find the level that suits them.
Lexilife is a new company outside France, and will be exhibiting Lexilight lamp at CES2020. The lamp itself is now available in Europe and will be available in the US soon. The lamp costs 549 euros and is available for a free 30-day trial period.
Lexilife is cooperating with dyslexia support organizations, and the lamp has been tested by over 300 people with dyslexia, with 90% of respondents finding that their reading ability has improved.
