It turns out that Mozilla has closed a serious security vulnerability in Firefox |
Yesterday, Mozilla Foundation released a new version of Firefox's web browser that effectively addresses exploited vulnerabilities and allows attackers to control the victim's computer.
In the post, Mozilla said: The vulnerability is dangerous and understands its exploitation. The US Cyber Security and Infrastructure Agency said it noticed the exploitation of one or two vulnerabilities and warned that attacks could lead to control of the victim's machine. Regarding Mozilla, I noticed in the post that Qihoo 360, a Chinese information security company, had reported it twice.
Mozilla has addressed the vulnerability in Firefox 72.0.1 released on Tuesday and indexed it as CVE-2019-17026. The update was launched the day after the release of Version 72, which also resolved 11 more vulnerabilities, six of which were classified as high-risk, because three of these six vulnerabilities allowed attackers to hit.
The CVE-2019-17026 security vulnerability was released approximately 7 months after Mozilla resolved a vulnerability exploited by an attacker who tried to install an undiscovered back door with Coinbase passwords on a Mac computer.
Although details of the vulnerability have not been published, Firefox users are advised to download 72.0.1 as soon as possible.
