Britain is testing the driverless independent cockpit to carry passengers

This week, UK buyers have the opportunity to test a fully disorganized cockpit tested at the Cribbs Causeway Mall in North Bristol to test their ability to overcome daily obstacles from 10 am to 4 pm.  Every evening for a week.

The capsule transports passengers across the building and follows a common pedestrian zone.  The Capri project is managed by 17 companies and academic institutions, including the University of West England, the University of Bristol and the University of Heathrow.  This type of transportation system introduces UK road standards.

The capsule was tested in Bristol by AECOM infrastructure company, which has partnered with partners like Bristol Robotics Lab and developed the first autonomous vehicles that could enable the public to move.  The capsule, while special internal monitoring test is not required.

"For this idea to fully develop, it is essential that the audience be present and able to discover mobile services that can change the way they travel," said George Lunt, technical director of infrastructure company AECOM.

It is hoped that this capsule will be used in cities all over the UK to transport people to various locations.  George Lint added: "Great Britain has great potential to open many international markets because it offers many environmental benefits, efficiency and travel using connected and independent vehicles."

The capsule uses sensors, radar technology, and image processing to navigate crowded pedestrian areas, chairs, and bicycles.  In addition to an experiment eliminating technical problems, the researchers also examined the public's response to independent traffic, with the aim of presenting the experiment on an open public road later this year.

It is worth noting that this is not the first time that this autonomous car has been tested in the UK since the GATEway project took to the streets in Greenwich in 2016 and the Heathrow capsule is being used in the busiest airports in the world.  Britain, but this Capri is the first almost driverless program from a completely independent public transport system.
