A study reveals the most censored countries on the Internet |
A new study by Comparitech.com, a website specializing in data protection tools, has revealed the most censored countries on the Internet in the world.
North Korea remains the most visited country on the Internet. China comes first, followed by China, Russia, Russia, Iran and Turkmenistan.
Regarding the national classification, the site focuses on 10 factors: banned torrent service, banned torrent service, prohibited content, prohibited content, restricted political media, banned political media, banned social media, banned communications sites, banned VPN services, banned VPN service .
With all these factors in mind, North Korea achieved an ideal result as it banned everything and China scored 9 points, followed by Russia, Turkmenistan and Iran with 7 points.
Although internet censorship has become a major problem worldwide, an increasing number of countries are trying to strangle or control online content in one way or more. However, the government notes that users use VPN services to circumvent the ban.
It should be noted that the study does not include the case of citizens who are separated from the Internet. In many countries, including India, this is a huge problem. India has tightened its control increasingly on the Internet, especially in recent times, after considering it unfair for controversial Muslims and Muslims in Kashmir and Pakistan.
