The smooth blue text display plus Whistler Ring Alert and Alert Alert will never be absent from the alert. Competitive advantage and competitive price.
The battery is charged
The device can use three AA Ni-MH rechargeable batteries to provide laser / radar detection for approximately 15 hours, or you can plug it into your car's cigarette lighter adapter (this will charge the battery).
Blue LCD screen
The impressive XTR-540 screen provides excellent visual confirmation of the detected signal and signal strength and shows an interactive operating mode.
Patented POP mode detection
There are some ew weapons that used to work in the past like instant guns, but there is a very difficult new change: POP! This new weapon is a popular K and Ka radar weapon most radar detectors made in the past 30 years can find it, so it is in POP mode. When the weapon is in the POP mode and activated, a short period of power spread is less than 1/15 second, so the vehicle speed can be set quickly. Detectors that cannot detect the POP mode can respond to this short transmission, but XTR-540 can.
Secret warning binoculars
Whistler's separate binoculars focus specifically on visual alert. When the device wakes up, the other two LED lights flash and stop to trigger a unique visual alarm.
3 Roads / City Highway
Highway mode provides full visual and audible warnings for the laser / radar system with full sensitivity. Guidance mode is the default setting for all Whistler laser / radar detectors. City mode reduces the inconvenience of opening door and theft alarms automatically by hearing a preliminary alarm and silencing it (at the same distance as in street mode) unless the signal strength becomes too strong. When the signal is increased, the device is called briefly to inform you of changes in signal strength.
Stay awake
The purpose of staying alert is to test the driver's alertness. An alert sounds within 30 to 60 seconds after the function is activated. To display the alarm, the driver must press the volume, city, or mute button within 3 to 5 seconds. If the button is pressed within 3-5 seconds, the cycle is repeated. If no button is pressed within 3 to 5 seconds, the device emits a full-size alarm and the only visible alarm is displayed on the screen.
Silent / automatic mode
Press QUIET before signal detection to activate automatic mute mode, which automatically reduces volume to low volume setting after first warning. If you encounter radar / lasers, press the mute button to turn off the audible alarm while the visual alarm keeps you up to date.
Alert priority
If two or more signals are received at the same time, the alarm has the following priority: Laser, VG-2, Speed Camera, Safety Camera.
Example: If the X band is in an alarm state and the VG-2 signal is detected suddenly, then the VG-2 warning exceeds the X-range alarm.
Auto power saving mode
If you forget to turn off the detector, the car's power saving mode will automatically turn off the detector within 3 hours. If the detector is turned off or unplugged, or a button is pressed 6 hours before it is turned off, the timer is reset. Before closing the detector, you will be notified of sound and visual warnings.
SWS
The relatively new speed camera cannot detect speed at all and is used to inform you of traffic safety. Installing and programming the transmitter (for example in emergency vehicles) can inform you about situations that may require attention, such as mobile or stationary ambulances, future road hazards, road construction or diversion, etc.
VG-2 detection mode
VG-2, also known as "radar detector", is a special receiver used by the police to detect signals from radar detectors. XTR-540 notifies you of its existence and unrecognizable due to unknown Whistler patented VG-2 technology.
