Western Digital Launches SSD WD Blue S550 Module!

Western Digital is already cutting NVMe hard drives with the WD Blue SN550 in a new section of its blue group.  Compared to SN500, the device relies on newer microcontrollers and better NAND cells for better performance and capacity than the memory giant.

SN500 is the first economical device to output an SSD based on the manufacturer's WD SN520 unit.  These units use the same console as the WD Black Series SN 720 and SN 750, but with fewer PCIe fonts and fonts.

The SN500 also uses the same board design as the SN520.  All parts are included in the first 30mm of the same M.2 segment.  It is worth noting that the SN500 is only offered as a M.2 2280. The SN520 connected functions are different.  formation.

The SN550 promises better performance on four PCIe lines, so this device has a transfer speed of 2.4 GB instead of 1.4 GB than the old device.  Of course, high performance increases energy consumption and protects devices from heat with an improved thermal design.  The design focuses on moving NAND flash blocks to the end of the cell, and that's it.

This new device comes from WD Blue SN550, it has a five-year warranty and is very cool for economic hardware, but we do not know the price yet, and no announcement has been made yet
