Backstory: I decided to purchase this radio specially for wedding relationships at home in the United States. A limousine lined up on the highway and in the reception area of the wedding hall (separate structure about 500 feet). It will take about 3 days to choose the radio. At first I thought of a very inexpensive and gorgeous radio model, similar to the $ 500 radio I used when my best friend was working abroad, or "Baofeng 888". However, the clones created by our friend did not meet my requirements. Currently, FCC, GMC, or FRS have not accepted the easy-to-use plug-and-play functionality. However, reprogramming can be used for GMRS, FRS, CB, or HAM, but remains in the area. Gray FCC approved. A very complicated process and the mess that is already very messy and complex. In this case, simplicity is the best.
Comment: This radio program is ready to use immediately (fully charged after 12 hours) without requiring an 8-14 license for FRS. It has 121 privacy codes (38 CTCSS, 83 DCS). GMRS licenses are required for all channels except 36 to 36.
Robust construction: very light. Stylish belt buckle. Non-adjustable orange illuminated display (PTT, PTT does not activate backlight). Good working environment, PTT rubber and helmet cap. The push and talk buttons are not largely removed from the housing, which reduces the risk of a push and talk button colliding.
Lifespan: Battery and base included. Also accepts 3 AAA. I have a radio ranging from 1400 to 2200 and PTT FRS (low power), the radio movement was medium and did not die. I can't use the battery properly, but I do have an AAA backup battery, so be sure.
Microphone and amplifier: Under ideal conditions, this small radio can be displayed clearly. Smashing is possible without any problems. VOX (just talk, no buttons) is nice and adjustable. You don't need this event, but it is useful when you need it.
Headphone Option: I bought Midland APVH-3 and it works very well. Convenient cable length, strong PPT and square amplifier. It can be downloaded from the MIC port. Note: The headphone / microphone components are different from other major brands. Ensure that they are compatible at the time of purchase.
- Range: meets the highest standards, FRS is 0.5 to 2 miles depending on the situation. After sufficient research to obtain a PhD in Radiology, only these wireless devices can work. FRS limits FRS to 0.5W (1/2W or 500MW). Depending on the circumstances, the MAX range can be about 3 km. More between radios = shorter range. GMRS has other 5W regions and requires a license (valid for 5 years with immediate family members).

General: None of the radios are satisfactory or disappointing, but unfortunately the price is three times the price, but rest assured. The consumption of 0.5 watts is limited, but they do exactly what I need. I can switch to GMRS one day and I am happy that I have this option. I want something legal and working well. Unfortunately, the main brand headphones are more expensive than General Motors and other wireless brands. I love her and it works.
