Mobile screens have come a long way since reusing the ASUS Displaylink USB screen in 2014. The 15.6-inch G-STORY screen with 15.6 Hz and 1080 pixels should be my dream for many years, and so far it has worked surprisingly. I can have most hopes on the screen (except in portrait mode, but I'll show you the solution later).
I travel once a month I hope to see the show again while traveling, but what I really miss is using the 13-inch surface book for a higher refresh rate. I got a 17-inch G-STORY for a few months now, but I buy something smaller on the market. Fortunately, the seller informed me that it had just launched this 15.6-inch model, which initially supports 165 Hz and has a very low response speed (1 to 4 ms). This screen is compatible with the Surface 13 pocket, and I have never been happy. When I'm at home, it fits perfectly on my desk as a second screen. After a few trips, I will report sustainability, but for now it seems to be scanning all the boxes I'm looking for from a portable USB-C device. I bought it from my pocket and although it tends to tilt compared to other USB C screens on the market, it is the only device I know can reduce response time from 165 Hz to less than 4 ms
G's story includes:
- Screen with two USB C ports (one for power only, including USB PD support, one for power, or DisplayPort Alt support)

- Frame rate test shows that this screen is connected to NVIDIA GTX 1080 GPU via HDMI at 144Hz and USB C / DisplayPort Alt at 165Hz
- Surface Book (13-inch USB C port with GTX 1050) continues to try to operate the screen so that it can only be used with the well-connected monitor here because it allows for Nintendo Switch recharge (or at least continue charging), only if you use the screen and it is connected directly to the screen , Current battery life / never dies).
The headphones are a little quiet, but the portable screen consumes less than 15 watts and can power all devices. You feel full without my ear.
- If you use two USB-C ports (to turn on the power and DisplayPort Alt) at the same time, the situation may be better. You must connect the two cables to get the best results. However, he usually wakes up from hibernation to recognize the HDMI or USB C indicator signal.
- HDMI Mini is often as durable as the standard HDMI / Micro. I will have to monitor sustainability over time.
The tiltable base is good, but it cannot be used sideways to create a more compact picture. However, the tablet holder (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CG71KQ1) works well on the screen. However, keep in mind that it is bigger and heavier than most tablets.
Conclusion: This is a powerful, fast, easy to use and configurable screen. I will see how durability appears over time.
