I started browsing mom and dad photo albums so that all siblings can get pictures. I only use digital photo frame scans and sometimes #TBT social media posts. For a long time I used the scanner function on the all-in-one printer. After upgrading the software to my laptop, the associated software simply cannot scan. Anyway, I scanned the pictures one by one and with increased interest in scanning, I decided to upgrade. After spending some time on Amazon and no longer wanting to upgrade my mortgage, I decided on Epson Perfection V550.
Well, now it is the scanner. All in all, I love it and want to buy it again. It fulfilled or exceeded my expectations and made the survey hobby faster and more entertaining.
Pictures: I want to be able to upload multiple photos to the scanner at the same time instead of transferring the pictures one by one. Scanners separate well into separate thumbnails. However, if you don't leave a space between the images (usually 1/2 inch) as mentioned in some test reports, the scanner might not work correctly. Depending on the filing system, you can "preview" all images with the same filename (using a number for different images), or if all images are on the glass, scan them one by one. It takes longer, but this way you can give each file a unique image name. I am trying to collect images so that I can use the name and search the images faster. I've never used any of the EPSON Scan's image adjustment options, for example B. Color Rendering, Backlight Correction or DIGITAL ICE technology. So I can't tell you how much it works. Although this scanner can scan with very high DPI values, I usually do a 250 dpi scan to keep the file size small. Since I haven't detonated anything, the quality has been enough. For old photos, I prefer "old photos".
The negatives: I only did a little, but I was surprised that the JPG output was better or better than the actual photos I erased. The scanner comes with passive support and the preview is easy to divide the image into separate files.
Slides: You recently deleted about 500 slides using the media they contain. You can delete four slides at the same time. Once again I was surprised by the appearance of the JPG. Feel like you are getting the perfect movie and photo restoration. It works very well, I only do 225 dpi scanning
Big Album Page: My mother wrote a fairly large album during the school year and the plastic folly. I want to delete some photos and other content from the album. Although the pages are large and large, I can move them on the scanner and do a good job of getting what I need. The cropping function or scan area setting is ideal for whatever you want to call. All you can do is perform a rectangular scan. However, if you need more detailed cropping (curves, ovals, circles, etc.) then I am simply importing JPG to other programs.

I've never used this document scanner because I can still use an MFP. I scanned images in PDF output and this is just a setting option. Also, I didn't use any of the button functions on the front of the scanner, so I can't reach the purpose of the scanner.
the negative side? Just a few pairs - you may have deleted between 2,500 and 3,000 photos since purchase, parts of the portable scanner recently voted at the bottom of the scan window when it came back, and so did the audio. The scanning function is good, but the noise makes me fear a little bit more coming. Another thing is that I am not happy with the way the articles in the newspaper are examined. I'm not sure that I can handle the settings properly (it might be a user error!), But this exposes the registry to overdose and therefore it's not a good copy at all.
Unfortunately, I submitted review photos twice with additional scanning examples and each time it was rejected. So I can't give examples of negative slide shows and scans :-( But anyway, put a number for amateur photos in my country, I really like the V550!
