MediaTek launches Dimension 800 chip for mobile phones |
MediaTek announced that it will launch the Dimension 800 chip next year to support mid-range smartphone versions in the second quarter of 2020.
MediaTek launched the Dimensity 1000 chip last month, which was introduced with the support of the fifth generation network with better performance and specifications, and better support for artificial intelligence technologies as well as communications and games. Performance can match the Huawei Kirin 990 5G processor and Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865 processor.
In addition to MediaTek's focus on competition in the mobile market with the Dimension 1000 processor, the company also introduced the new Dimension 800 processor, which targets the mid-range mobile market since early 2020.
MediaTek did not provide details about the Dim Dim 800 chip, but the company confirmed that the chip will be launched in the second quarter of 2020 and is responsible for some specifications, including the socket, which will meet the Dim Dim 1000 specifications for 5G networks.
The Dimensity 800 chip should be compatible with Huawei Kirin 800 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 700 processors.
