BMW announces the integration of Android Auto into its cars next year

The BMW automaker has announced that it will integrate Android Auto into its cars starting in July 2020. In addition, it will be wireless Android Auto technology, which will make BMW one of the few automakers providing this support to support Android.  No cable connection is required in his car.

Android Auto comes with all BMW cars equipped with iDrive version 7.0 and Live Cockpit Professional.  Additionally, all 2019/2020 models are available in Series 3, 5, 7 and 8. The latest SUV X3, X5 and X7.

The system will also be used on the SUV 2020 X6.  Since this is a wireless version of Android Auto, the owner must use the Pixel, Nexus, or Samsung smartphone.

BMW supports Apple CarPlay for several years.  The reason for the delay in running Android Auto is because most users have iOS devices.
