Google is the default search engine for most of us, but did you know that you can make donations to charities, or even earn cryptocurrency by using other search engines?
You don't need to do without Google or switch to any of the other search engines right away.You can use both at the same time, but the idea is to try to stay away from Google to discover features and results you won't see on it.
Here are 5 alternatives to Google that help you explore new things:
1- Mojeek:
All you have to do is go to Mojeek, type what you want to search for, and click emojis to get search results that match your feelings. The more you press a different emoji the results will change.
Mojeek is also a web-crawling search engine, which means that it uses its own results unlike many metasearch search engines that rely on Google search packets, or the results of any other search engine, and respects the privacy of users. There is any type of tracking.
2- Givero:
How great it would be to make a donation to charities every time you search for something on the web instead of private companies, which is the idea of Givero.
The idea is similar to that of the German Ecosia engine - which donates about 80% of the gains to the public good - and a few other technology companies that focus on philanthropy. Givero earns revenue through advertising when it is used to search for anything like: Google, or Microsoft Bing, but Givero allocates half of the advertising revenue from these searches to charity.
