It has long been reported that Apple is working on a new 16-inch MacBook Pro. It was initially said that this laptop might be announced in October, but this obviously did not happen. However, it seems that we are close to seeing the moment of the official announcement of this laptop.
This is according to a new report from 9to5Mac recently heard from private sources that Apple has booked or may hold a special press conference this week, in which it was speculated that some selected media might be allowed to preview the new 16-inch MacBook Pro.
If this is true, it may already be possible to announce this long-awaited laptop this week, around the middle of the week at the earliest. There is no way to actually ascertain whether this will happen, but in both cases we will not wait long to find out. There is also mounting evidence to suggest that this laptop already exists and is only expected to be announced by Apple.
What makes this laptop even more interesting is that it will be Apple's biggest laptop in recent years since the disposal of the 17-inch model in its lineup. It has also been rumored in the past that this laptop will feature a keyboard that uses scissors instead of the controversial butterfly mechanism to improve the typing experience on the new laptop.
